Finally my 70’s inspired shoot is finished! I love everything about this shoot. EVERYTHING! And EVERYONE! This is by far one of my favorite shoots ever! Yes, I’m using a lot of exclamation marks! That’s because if you were here in person I would be screaming at you about how I love this shoot. YES, I LOVE THIS SHOOT!!

One of my challenges for myself was to make sure I captured clean images in my camera and my second challenge was to only use two actions in my post processing. So, the only two actions I used (if I used any) was Clarify from Totally Rad Actions and Magic Sharp from Kubota Actions. I love the ease and simpleness of just using two or no actions at all.

Again a huge thank you goes out to Vanessa, Clarissa, and the oh so gorgeous Monique!! I love you girls!

Peace, Love, & Harmony :)

Monique, you are fierce!

She has an amazing smile! And teeth!

One of my favorites.

The light here was gorgeous.

This is my husband’s shot and I love it!

Monique girl! You are stunning!

I knew I wanted to do a 70s inspired photo shoot. I’ve actually been thinking about it a lot…. actually, ENDLESSLY. I just needed the perfect model, and the perfect clothes, and the perfect make up. I needed to figure it all out, but HOW? UH! There was way too much to do to make it work.

So, I put it off, thinking that I would forget about it or it would just magically happen for me. Yeah, neither of those two things happened…

When you have a vision of what you want, sometimes it’s hard to make things happen. It’s not impossible! Just requires some hard work and time and asking for help. If you want something bad enough, you’ll find a way to make it happen…

I made it happen. We made it happen! I had to figure out my resources (everyone has them, you just have to figure who and what they are)  and my resources are my students -now ex students and now friends- who are in college, attending Paul Mitchel, and just doing amazing things.

These beautiful girls helped put together an amazing shoot! They worked tirelessly to help me with my vision and my dream. I am truly honored and blessed to have such amazing people in my life!

Most importantly, this shoot wouldn’t have happened without my husband, who encouraged and pushed me to follow through. It’s amazing what can happen when you have someone who believes in you :)

Thank you a million times over to these fabulous girls:

I kept putting it off and putting it off. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy and just thinking about the amount of work required… well,  just made me want to scratch out my own eyes. I was wishing that I would win the lotto and I could pay someone to do it for me… I even thought if I whined about it long enough that my husband would give in and beg me to hire someone to do it, um apparently he has a higher threshold than I thought, shucks!   It’s  been a year now since I started shooting and I knew I had to get it done so I sucked it up and started and now I can finally say…

No, not Frankenstein.

My website! is here!

It’s definitely a work in progress but I know it’ll grow and flourish! So, if you have any spare time please go visit my new fabulous home

I’m beyond inspired!  And I’m happy to call DeAnn and Alex friends and more importantly, family.
